Emergency Medical Services
The North Lyon County Fire Protection District serves the community of Fernley and outlying areas with Advanced Life Support Engine/Ambulance Companies. The Fire Department provides first response from each Fire Station with a crew of 2. At Station 61 there is a Paramedic/Firefighter and a EMT-Intermediate/Firefighter staffing an ambulance and at Station 62 there is a EMT-Intermediate/Firefighter and a EMT-Basic/Firefighter cross staffing an ambulance and a fire engine. This allows firefighters to provide significant life saving skills such as advanced airway management, I.V. therapy and a large number of drugs for a variety of medical emergencies. We can provide life saving interventions in the event of a cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, asthma attacks, diabetic emergencies, drug overdoses, traumatic events and a great deal of other emergencies.
Remeber to use the 911 system for emergencies only.
For non-emergency situations requiring the Fire Department call (775) 575-3310.
