Who We Are

The North Lyon County Fire Protection District is an all risk department
composed of two chief officers, one administrative assistant, four full-time
firefighter/paramedics,and eight full-time firefighter/EMT-Intermediates.

24/7 and 365 days a year the North Lyon County Fire Protection District is
ready to respond to your emergency and always happy to help.

The district’s current Fire Chief is Darryl Cleveland.

Who We Serve

The North Lyon County Fire Protection District is its own entity separate from that of
the City of Fernley but provides the only emergency medical/fire/rescue response
within the northern area of Lyon County.

The City of Fernley has an estimated population of around 20,000 persons.

In 2010, the NLCFPD ran 2470 calls total. Of those, 2040 were for EMS response and 450 were fire related.
